Presidio Gate Apartments, located in the Presidio neighborhood of San Francisco, is a complex for very low-income senior (62 and older) and disabled residents. The property has been in operation since 1985. ESC staffs and operates the residence comprising one-bedroom apartments and studios providing 24-hour security for the well being of residents.

Presidio Gate Apartments is notable for its location, ample spaces and superb staff. The staff includes a resident manager, activities director and service coordinator who ensure independence, a full life for all Presidio Gate residents, and help residents connect to resources in the larger community. Newly renovated, the property has a library, a lounge area on each floor, exercise facilities and a multipurpose (dining) room. Residents have access to arts and crafts programs, educational events, van transportation to shopping destinations and other outings.

Presidio Gate Apartments has a reception area, hobby and craft area, dining room, laundry room, and television lounge. The grounds are easily accessible and the garden area is fenced.

To qualify for residency, an applicant’s yearly income must not exceed 50% of the local median income. Rent is 30% of resident’s adjusted gross income.
